Install Overview.

I'll try and keep this blog short, for good reason too. So I ended up not being able to run the kaaz diff. I Found out that it's a viscous type unit which requires 1 long stub axle and the other being shorter in length. Why? I really wish I knew. When trying to run the kaaz, the gears were not catching at all which made me very frustrated and sad.

So, I end up leaving that night with my good friend Jaime to San Diego to meet up at Jasons and pick up a Turbo 2 Rx7 shell with a complete rear end. Jason found a free donor shell. Yes FREE!!! This particular donor car with it's rear end contained the much needed stub axles for my kaaz. The plan was to get the shell back to Jason's house, remove the factory diff, load up and head back to LA. Mission accomplished :)

That night (Sunday) we all get to workin on my FC and taking out my beloved Kaaz diff in exchange for the newly accquired factory T2 diff. I guess it made things a lot easier rather than exchanging parts between both units. It was a sucessful install and my car actually moved forward. Whew. NEXT!!!!

Stupid digi camera.

Sorry for the delay in posting but Im somewhat short handed at the moment. My recently acquired camera seems to have taken on a new function of NOT TURNING ON!!!!!

So, in the meantime I'll be holding tight and waiting for more money to come in, with tax refund on the horizon and pay day next week, it's gonna be intersting to see how money fly's through my hands. Mazda parts love to beat my wallet down. Sigh! The life of a privateer driver.

Here it is, my FC3S. Me and this car have gone through a lot together and the story behind it is one of epic movie quality. Spike Lee where you at??? This will be my 09 car for drift events and I'll update yall on my upgrades leading up to it's "completion". One of my intentions for this blog, is to show a little of what it takes to create an entry level drift car....god help me.

Here I am World!!!!

Welcome. My name is Ed, other's my also know me from my countless post whoring on the RX7 club with screen name "fc pro am". I do have a lot to share and look forward to expressing my thoughts as well as the many adventures I experience in life. I must warn you that I am not the best writer, but my mind does wander a lot, and well, I need a blog to post all the randomness I have stored in my head.

For starters, I am COMPLETELY obsessed with all things cars as well as motorsports. As an official grease monkey gear head guy , this blog will have posts involving my Mazda escapades and odd ball situations. Since graduating high school, deep in my heart lied a passion for professional driving and tuning . The first car I ever purchased was a 1987 rx7 for $1000. I never drove it and actually sold it later for half the price. Registration issues and a smoky engine led to it's sale.

Now on my 4th rx7, I have realized my true calling in life and will work towards becoming the most awesome driver behind the wheel of a RX7 FC3S. Fully focused and loaded with tenacity, I must break into the automotive industry and as my man P Diddy say's...."CANT STOP, WONT STOP".
