Time Passes...

Man, it's been super long since I last updated this blog. I hate skipping out on things like that, it's annoying and makes me feel like I'm losing the creative edge. Enough on that, let me update ya'll a little and post some new images I had laying about. So I guess I'll start with my FC. As some of you may know, it's hard affording the cost sometimes to support what you love. With that being said, getting my FC back to its glorious state has been quite the struggle. As of today, my 13B-T is sitting in my bedroom with a fresh rebuild while the rolling chassis sits adjacent to my room in the carport awaiting its heart to be dropped in. I do have a source of income, but it's just the darn cost of living and retarded annoyances like tickets which hold back the progress : / Oh well, someday soon, I just stay praying for better days and know that my time will come when I can join my rotary brothers at a track day sesh. That's my rant/explanation for now...here's some photos I took.
The beloved chilling with good ol Jack Stand
This was my 13b the afternoon I brought it home from Lucky 7 racing
In pure excitement, I had to drop by the shop to actually SEE my replacement rotors before they were installed into the engine, here's the snap I took of them. Aren't they beautiful? : )

Can you Kickflip?

I can almost guarantee that any skateboarder over the age of 15 can likely expect a starry eyed kid to approach and ask the golden question, "Hey, can you kickflip?". Let PJ and stock metal help prepare you for the inevitable. Snap, float, flip, bolts,land...roll away.

Today: I tried getting a Job with Apple!

Yeah, looking for a second job, really want to grind and stack my paper and just stop livin check to check. Of course, fund my FC properly too. Went on my 2nd interview for a part time position, it was ok. My intervieiwer was some dude named Brendan and he seemed distracted, not really into what was taking place. Noticing this I kind of fell off my game and minutely lost interest. Weird. Oh well, hope I get it, if not...pursuit of happiness continues.

New Ish for 2011

With 2011 just 3 days away, I got myself in progress mode and decided I would change a few things within my lifestyle. On the list was to definitely get back into peak shape. I feel my body changing and it's not awesome. To combat against annoying carb face and love handle city, hiking and fixed gear biking will be my new thing in 2011. Now don't get yourself all riled up over the word "fixie", as many like to associate that culture with being too hipster, it's just that the bikes look dope and are my key to cardio supremacy and the lean/cut frame needed to stay sharp.

Now, with this new idea, I've embarked on customizing a colourway for my bike. I've decided to go with a "theme" for my frame and so here's a look at what I currently have in mind:

This shoe is of high importance to me and one of my early loves growing up in LA. As a 7yr old, I still reminisce about the impact it had.

I like the patterns shown here and so I'm focusing on good color placement to pull off freshness.

Above view shows how clean and round it was. This will help me decide on where I want specs of red to be placed on the fixie frame.

Here's the template. Similar to what I'll be pickng up next payday, except all white.

818 to Anaheim John

My boy John currently drives this all original US Spec S4 TurboII FC. We've been talking recently and he's converted back to a mostly OEM style setup while retaining aggresiveness with these "Starion" OEM deep step wheels. Last I heard, he's even throwing on the og Mazda front bumper too. Check the rear fender pull, Stock Metal!

Here's a back shot of the stance he's running.

Having already driven inside of this FC, I like the style within and feel he chose good sticker placement. Peep the glove box, I feel you John!

Floss that Metal my man.
